1. What SquadUp is

SquadUp helps people fill paid turf games in Indore, Jaipur and Lucknow. A host posts a game they have already booked, shares one link, and players join the open slots. SquadUp shows each player their share of the turf cost, tracks who has paid, and keeps a show-up record for every player.

SquadUp is not a turf booking service and not a payment service. We don't book, run or own any venue, and we never collect, hold or pass on anyone's money.

2. Hosting a game

When you post a game, you agree that:

  • You have already booked the turf for that date and time, and the details you post are true.
  • The share is the turf cost divided by the total players, rounded up to the next rupee. For example, ₹1,400 ÷ 14 = ₹100 and ₹1,000 ÷ 14 = ₹72.
  • Your UPI ID is shown only to players who hold a slot in your game or are on its waitlist. It never appears on the public game page.
  • You mark attendance honestly after the game. Cancelling after the dropout cutoff lowers your own reliability score.

3. Joining and paying

Your slot is held the moment you join. You pay your share to the host directly, by UPI or however the two of you agree, outside SquadUp.

  • Tapping I've paid marks your share as says paid. Only the host can mark it confirmed.
  • A share still unpaid 48 hours after the game is flagged late. That lowers your pays-on-time rate and your reliability.
  • If the host goes ahead with fewer players than planned, the share is worked out again over the players who are in, and you may owe a top-up.

4. Money and refunds

Because the money moves between you and the host, any payment problem or refund is settled between you and the host. SquadUp can show the record of what was marked paid and confirmed, but cannot send, reverse or refund a payment.

SquadUp is free for players. Hosting is free during early access. Host Pro (₹499/month) is a later plan for hosts, and nothing is charged today. We will tell you before any plan costs money, and you will choose whether to take it.

5. Dropping out and the waitlist

Every game has a dropout cutoff that the host sets, 6 hours before kick-off unless they change it. The game page shows the exact time.

  • Drop out before the cutoff: free, and your slot goes to the waitlist.
  • Drop out after the cutoff: it counts as a late dropout unless someone from the waitlist takes your spot before kick-off.
  • When a slot opens, the first player on the waitlist gets 15 minutes to claim it. After that the offer moves to the next player.
  • If you already paid and then drop out, sort the refund out with the host.

6. Reliability and ratings

Every player has a reliability score from 0 to 100. It starts at 80 and shows as New until you have played 3 games. It comes from the attendance hosts mark and from paying on time. A no-show costs more than a late dropout, and a late dropout costs more than a late payment.

  • Your score, show-up rate, late dropouts and pays-on-time rate are public on your player profile.
  • After a game, teammates have 48 hours to rate each other. Rate what happened on the pitch, not a grudge.
  • If a host marks you as a no-show, you can dispute it once. The penalty is paused while the host reviews it.

7. Playing safe

Sport carries a risk of injury. You play at your own risk, and the venue is responsible for its own pitch, lights and facilities. SquadUp isn't at the game and can't vouch for anyone beyond their record on the app. Check the venue and the host before you go.

8. Fair play

Don't use SquadUp to:

  • Post a game you haven't booked, or collect money for a game that isn't happening.
  • Harass, threaten or abuse other players, on the app or at the turf.
  • Rate or mark attendance falsely to settle a score.

We can remove a game or close an account that breaks these rules.

9. Your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. If you are hosting an upcoming game with players in it, cancel that game first. Past team sheets then show you as Former player. The Privacy page explains what we store and what deleting removes.

10. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects money or how reliability works, we will tell you in the app before it applies.

Want to know what we store about you? The Privacy page covers it, including how to delete your account.
